National Sports Academy (NSA)
The National Sports Academy Established in 2000, the sprawling 30 acres of well-developed campus named National Sports Academy (NSA) is located in Khelgaon, barely 8 km away from the heart of the Allahabad city. Equipped with modern training equipment and expert coaching, the Academy has today emerged as the largest privately managed and the most leading training center for Gymnastics in India. Over the past 12 years, the Academy has given India several International Medals (see Medal Tally for reference). Infact, ALL the international medals won by India were won by Gymnasts of this Academy only. The Academy has a modern 68m X 38m Indoor Gymnastics Hall, with a seating capacity for over 3,000 spectators and is built in conformity with the most stringent international standards. It is the biggest and the best gymnastics training center of the country, with more than 200 gymnasts practicing every day in the Academy.
The Gymnastics Hall has held many International and National Championships, including the South Central Asian Gymnastics Championship (2005), to name a few. Various dignitaries and sports officials who have come to witness the event have openly appreciated the facilities created at NSA.
Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex
The Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex has the infrastructure to promote indoor sports. There are squash courts, lawn tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts.
the Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex is equipped with robot in table tennis and lawn tennis which is the first of its kind in the state. Recently, a badminton hall and hostel was also inaugurated by sports minister Ayodhya Pal.
Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium
Madan Mohan Malaviya Stadium is a stadium in Allahabad, India. It is used by Uttar Pradesh cricket team for their domestic matches.
It is named after famous Indian freedom fighter "Madan Mohan Malaviya". The stadium was formerly known as Alfred Park.
